Vine Street Market O’Fallon Illinois – O’Fallon Station

In the center of downtown O’Fallon is Vine Street Market, with fifty-plus vendors during the weekly season. Vine Street Market started six years ago in 2019 and has been growing since. They have various activities that take place at the market, such as live music, food demonstrations, and a club for kids. The market focuses on providing fresh food from local farms within one hundred miles of O’Fallon, and many of the vendors at the market sell fresh meats, local honey, leafy greens, wines, and much more fresh produce. You can also find sweet treats throughout the market as there are vendors such as Best Darn Cookie, Earth Candy, Fleur de Lys Bakes, and many more. Vine Street Market starts weekly on Saturdays from 8 am-12 pm, starting May 11-October 19, so spend your Saturday morning with us and learn more about the local food in your area. 

Swansea Farmers Market – Rural King Parking Lot

Swansea Farmers Market opened and started in 2009 by a group of volunteers who wanted to highlight locally grown produce. The market is known for the variety of locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and baked goods. Volunteers completely manage Swansea Market weekly when the market is open, every Thursday 10 am-2 pm, May to October, rain, or shine. Explore the farmers market and get delicious food while supporting local vendors this summer.

 Monroe County IL Farmers Market Columbia – Turner Hall Parking Lot

Every Thursday morning from April 2nd-end of October, 4:00 pm- 7 pm, in Monroe County, the city hosts a farmers’ market. You can look forward to vendors selling fresh veggies, herbs, cut flowers, fresh produce, and house plants, with much more to discover. The market also has a Coffee Bar called Living Millennial and bakery items, so you can grab a coffee or bakery item and explore the farmer’s market.

 Monroe County IL Farmers Market Waterloo – 901 IL., Waterloo

What better way to spend your morning than the farmers market, especially when it is local and sells local food? Waterloo Farmers Market does just that and even has activities you can do throughout the market. The market includes yoga with Tina, live music by Katie Schroeder, and craft-in-a-bag activity for kids. Monroe County Farmers Market opened April 27th and will run until October 26th, from 7:30am-Noon. All items sold, such as produce, plants, meat, honey, eggs, flowers, and bakery items at the farmers market are from local farmers and businesses. 

New Baden Farmers Market – Veterans Memorial Parkway

Home-grown produce, farm-raised meats, homemade bread, and baked goods are just some of what the New Baden Farmers Market offers. So come down and explore the New Baden Farmers Market from May to September, 8 am to noon. Some goodies you can enjoy besides produce and meats are farm-fresh eggs, homemade jerky, canned salads, pickles, jams and jellies, homemade soaps, lotion, and body care items. For food, they do have food trucks available if you get hungry while at the market. 

Chester Farmers Market – Chester Square Gazebo Park

 A Charming Farmers Market where local homemade, produce, and baked goods come together at the Cheser Square Gazebo Park. The market is open every Saturday from May 18th-October 12th, 8 am – 11 am. Vendors sell fresh jellies and relishes made from homegrown ingredients. Then baked goods, fresh eggs, vegetables, and specialty items are sold. Arts and crafts for adults or kids are available if you are into crafting and looking for a new project to start. 

Vandalia, Illinois Farmers Market – Downtown Vandalia

If you like history, the Vandalia Farmers Market is the place for you, as it is in historic downtown Vandalia. The farmers market runs on the second Saturday of June – October, from 8 am to 11 am. You can guarantee that there will be fresh vegetables, leafy greens, and fruits for you to enjoy. Also sprinkled throughout the market are baked goods and other sweet treats for kids and adults. 

 Carlyle Farmers Market – Goldsmith-Terry VFW, 1250 Franklin St.

Farmers markets are an effective way to support local farmers, and Carlyle Farmers Market does just that, with vendors selling local fresh produce, meats, eggs, and breads. You can also get fresh-cut flowers, plant fudge, and syrup. The market runs May 31st, June 28th, July 26th, August 23rd, and September 27th, from 5:00 pm until Dusk. 

Bond County Farmers Market Greenville – 215 N. 2nd St., Greenville

Get locally made crafts, local produce, local entertainment, and more at the Bond County Farmers Market. There is a kids program called Happy Beans, and kids will receive a Happy Beans Tote Bag once they have signed up. The kids then will have an activity and challenge they must complete at every market. If they win, they will earn a patch to iron on their tote bag. The market is the first Saturday of the month, June-October, 8 am – Noon. 

Cross Street Market, Robinson – Awnings of Cross Street Station

With shopping local in mind, Cross Street Market in Robinson is the place to be. With locally grown produce, fresh flowers, handmade items, and artisan gifts. Feel good about what you are eating and look forward to local bakers selling their food and getting delicious treats. Cross Street Market is every Saturday, June – September 8 am – Noon. 

Wabash County Farmers Market, Mt. Carmel – First Mid Bank Parking Lot, Merchants Park

Where the community gathers, local farmers and entrepreneurs sell their homemade, homegrown products right to customers. At the Wabash County Farmers Market, you can expect fresh fruit, vegetables, and local body and soap products. The markets are May 11th and June 15th, from 7 pm - 9 pm at the First Mid Bank Park lot, July 12th, and August 16th, 6 pm – 8 pm, and July 13th – July 17th from 9 am- noon at Merchants Park. Then Lastly, September 17th, 7 pm to 9 pm at the first mid-bank parking lot.
