Illinois Country Harvest Farm and Gardens and La Jardiniere’s Heirlooms announce a local heritage plant sale near Prairie du Rocher, IL a collaboration event between these two Illinois Country heritage farm/garden projects. The sale will be held at Illinois Country Harvest Farm and Gardens, located 2 miles west of Ruma, IL on Highway 155 towards Prairie du Rocher. Farm co-owner Jennifer Duensing and Carol Kuntz, of La Jardinere’s Heirlooms, will offer an outdoor heirloom plant sale on Sunday, May 5, 10 a.m-2 p.m., rain or shine. Plant sale details, including a list of plants for sale, will be posted to the event listing on Facebook in the upcoming weeks close to the event date. Generally the heirloom and native plants will be available in 4″ pots and can be purchased for a price of $4 each, with a few selected heirlooms available at special individual pricing. Please join us as we celebrate heirloom gardening and the arrival of spring by offering for sale some of our heritage farm and garden plants with you to enjoy in your own gardens.
